Free professional development for health clinicians – Exploring mental health lived experience for better practice

Delivered by Three Rivers DRH and Gateway Health, this free workshop will involve an exploration of the mental health lived experience using the Listening to Voices resources. It aims to empower health professionals, build knowledge, and provide a networking opportunity to explore lived experiences and improve clinical practice in a safe learning environment.

The workshop will include a Q&A session with the performers from Listening to Voices, allowing participants to engage in further reflection.

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the mental health landscape, learn to advocate for clients, appreciate lived experiences, promote hope and resilience, and model positive language and attitudes.

You will learn to:

  • understand the mental health landscape

  • recognise your role as an advocate for clients with mental ill-health

  • understand the lived experiences of individuals with mental ill-health.
